Old Republic International Declares Cash Dividend on Common Stock

CHICAGO, May 14, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- The Board of Directors of Old Republic International Corporation (NYSE: ORI) declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of 13 cents per share. This latest dividend reflects an increase of 14.7 percent over the rate that prevailed through March 2004. The common stock dividend is payable June 15, 2004, to shareholders of record on June 4, 2004.

Old Republic International has paid cash dividends on its common stock for the past 63 years without interruption. The Company currently has approximately 181.9 million common shares outstanding.
